The Toyota Corolla hasn’t changed much over the last few years! Well, why should you change something that’s near perfect as it is?
The 2025 Corolla FX I drove last week is powered by a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine with Dual VVT-1 continuous variable transmission (CVT), which provides 169 horsepower and 151 lb-ft torque.
The Corolla FX delivers 31-mpg city and 39-mpg highway for a combined 34-mpg. The transmission drives the front wheels only.
Inside the cabin, a 10.5-inch multimedia display with 6-speakers, featuring wireless Apple Car Play and Android Auto compatibility and Sirius XM, are complemented by the 7-0-inch gauge cluster. The display is boldly exposed and easily read.
Automatic climate control keeps the climate cozy regardless
of outside weather conditions.
Soft fabric trimmed seats with leather wrapped steering wheel give Corolla FX a sporty look and striking personality, along with a sunny disposition.
The Corolla FX rests on 18-inch satin black-finish alloy wheels, which are aligned with the sport mesh black grille, black out badging, black mirror caps, rocker trim, and black roof.
Toyota Safety Sense is standard in the 2025 Corolla. The safety suite includes a vast array of features. They include forward collision warning with pedestrian and bicycle detection, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane departure steering assist, lane centering steering, road sign recognition, and automatic high beams.
The new FX gets standard lowering springs. According to Toyota, the electric power steering has been returned for the ultimate sporty feel.
The screen is positioned to the right of the driver, perfect for viewing, but not detrimental to the front window or blocking things below. The seating is comfortable, and offers plenty of leg room and great viewing through the windshield.
It is hard to believe such a premium car can be offered at such a great price. However, this is something Toyota has been doing for some time. The Toyota Corolla was the perfect car for me personally. It offers an abundance of standard safety features at an amazing standard price of $29, 999.
