Casting Crowns Performs at Southfork Ranch, of ‘Dallas’ TV Fame

Casting Crowns, award-winning, contemporary Christian rock band, will perform at Southfork Ranch on July 19, on their Drive-In Theater Tour. The multi-Platinum Grammy Award-winning group is known for such hits as “Praise You in This Storm,” “East to West,” “Who Am I,” and “Just Be Held.”

The group received the Billboard Music Award for Top Christian Artist and Top Christian Album. They were also nominated for World Music Award’s “Best Live Act” and World’s Best Group. The group was formed by Youth Pastor Mark Hall at First Baptist Church in Daytona Beach, Florida in 1999. Since then, they have broken sales records, sold out arenas, and won numerous, prestigious awards. Hall still serves as the band’s lead vocalist. Other band members are Juan DeVevo, Melodee Devevo, Chris Huffman, Megan Garrett, Josh Mix, Hector Cervantes, and Brian Scoggin.

The July 19 Drive-In Theater Tour concert at Southfork Ranch is one of “Casting Crowns” 50 stops in the series. The concert will take place live on stage while guests watch from their vehicles. Southfork Ranch will comply with local guidelines related to COVID-19 and guests will maintain social distancing. Gate 1 of the ranch opens at 6 p.m. and the show begins at 7:30 p.m. Concert tickets are on sale now, ranging from $100-$175. All tickets are sold on a per-vehicle basis, with a limit of six people per car.

Guests will be required to show their ticket upon entry, to be scanned through the driver’s side window. Fans will be allowed to take photos during the concert, but only from their parking space.

Awakening Events

No outside concessions or coolers are allowed. No recreational activities like frisbee or baseball are permitted. Space is available for up to 1,200 cars to enjoy the concert. However, parking is not available for oversized vehicles such as large vans, buses, or RVs. The show will be rain or shine.

The Casting Crowns Drive-In Theater Tour is produced by Awakening Events, Inc. Marketing Director Curtis Pinkerton said the group’s concerts are usually 2 to 2 ½ hours long.
