Shared on the Mashed.com YouTube channel in February 2020, the video ranking America’s chicken fast-food chains from worst to best has been viewed close to 1 million times. It’s true, our nation’s love for chicken has grown over the years to the point where we’re supporting a great number of restaurants that cater to it. Here in Texas, we do love our Chick-Fil-A, Popeye’s, and KFC (and the great sides they tend to offer as well)! But, do you agree with the rankings from Mashed.com? Are there any they’ve missed?
Going from what they call worst to best, the video post begins at Champs Chicken, which is a fast-food chain that can be found in convenience stores and gas stations. Although we’ve found that, no matter the location, amazingly great food can still be had, the video ranks this chain’s chicken as worst on a list of 16 in total.

From there, the video shares rating details on Boston Market, KFC, and Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken. Following that, it gives reviews on Church’s, Zaxby’s, and Raising Canes. In the ninth spot is Bonchon, followed next by Wingstop and Bojangles’ Famous Chicken ‘n Biscuits. Krispy Krunchy Chicken is placed at number six, and the top five are then ranked as:
5. Jollibee
4. El Pollo Loco
3. PDQ
2. Popeyes
1. Chick-Fil-A

From very quick chicken meals through homestyle dinners and delicious rotisserie chicken, Mashed.com made a concerted effort to qualify the rankings in the video “Fast Food Chicken Chains Ranked Worst To Best.” The quality of the chicken, the pricing structure, and consistency of value for dollar in terms of taste and service was captured in their review. Are there chains in Texas you feel were left off the list? Have you had a passion for chicken, or for fast-food, since the lockdown measures for the COVID-19 pandemic were relaxed? The full video post and comments on the chains in this review can be watched at the link provided here.
