Goblins & Giggles brighten family vacations at Gaylord Texan this fall. The resort hotel in Grapevine features special family-friendly activities on weekends from September 11 through October 31.
Activities range from pumpkin decorating to spooky animal encounters and a Halloween-themed scavenger hunt. A trick-or-treat expedition invites guests to explore the resort’s 4.5 acres of indoor gardens, with stops along the way for delicious treats.
Weekend events and activities are every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and include Spooky Animal Encounters. These encounters offer guests an educational opportunity to interact with and learn about a variety of incredible creatures. Canvas and pumpkin decorating invites guests to release their inner artist by creating a fall-themed masterpiece.
Goblins & Giggles Ghost Stories

Ghost Stories Live! Here guests can learn about haunted Texas history. The interactive experience allows the audience members to become part of the story. A SpookEasy, the resort’s haunted hideaway, features spine-chilling craft cocktails and a spooky collection of ghostly artwork. An Escape Room challenges guests to race against the clock to unlock clues and solve a puzzle before the time runs out.
Daily activities include a Hide & Seek Scavenger Hunt with Spookley the Square Pumpkin. Spookley found eight spooktacular hiding spots at the resort for his game of Halloween Hide & Seek. Guests solve puzzles to find the missing word for each clue and then use the clues to find Spookley.
Wildlife Rescues

The Wildlife Rescue Experience invites guests to track down endangered species throughout the resort. Guests can help ensure that these species are monitored for their protection. The virtual adventure brings the animals to life through the magic of augmented reality. The Jack-O-Lantern Walk is an imaginative self-guided walk-through for visitors of all ages to find a world of Halloween fun.
Other fall activities include family-favorite Halloween movie showings on the big screen. Interactive trivia, bingo, and Bedtime Stories with Morgana the Witch are featured on guests’ in-room television.
Paradise Springs, the resort’s 10-acre outdoor pool, is open weekends through September 26. It features a 6,000-square-foot family lagoon, giant water playhouse, 600-foot long lazy river, and multiple winding waterslides. The pool has been upgraded to implement new cleanliness and social distancing measures.
