Award-winning actor, director, producer, songwriter, and country/rock artist Kevin Costner joins the fun at Outlaws & Legends Music Fest. Celebrating their 10th anniversary, the festival is held at the Back Porch of Texas in Abilene March 19-20, 2021. Kevin Costner and his band, Modern West, are the opening-night headline act on Friday.
Kevin Costner is an Academy Award, Emmy and Golden Globe winner, and he’s known for a prolific body of work. His best-known films include “Field of Dreams,” “Bull Durham,” “Dances with Wolves,” and “The Bodyguard.” He is currently starring in “Yellowstone,” the smash-hit television series. “Yellowstone” features the music of Modern West, which has landed on Billboard’s Top 100 Country Album list.

Also performing Friday night are award-winning country music artists Mark Powell and Deana Carter with The Hamiltons. Saturday’s headliner is award-winning, CMA-nominated singer/songwriter Randy Houser. He has written and recorded multiple chart-topping songs, including a #1 Country Hit. Kevin Fowler, Lee Roy Parnell, Jaime Richards, Curtis Grimes, Jerrod Medulla, and Della Rose complete the star-studded lineup for Outlaws & Legends Saturday night.
A portion of each Outlaws & Legends ticket sold benefits the Ben Richey’s Boys Ranch. Since 2011, the festival has raised more than $2 million for Abilene nonprofits.

A number of COVID-19 protocols will be in place this year. These include forehead temperature screening on entry, face masks, and social distancing.
Tickets purchased for last year’s scheduled event, which was postponed due to the pandemic, are valid this year. In addition, those who purchased tickets for last year’s or this year’s event before 1/15/21 may opt to use them for the 2022 Festival at no additional cost.
Country music legend Willie Nelson, who was originally scheduled to appear at the 10th-anniversary Outlaws & Legends, will not be performing this year.
Tickets for the 2021 event on March 19 and 20 are still available, but patrons are advised to purchase quickly as the event is expected to sell out. A limited selection of general admission tickets and VIP weekend passes are available at $54 and $420 (plus tax), respectively.
