Tucked away on the outskirts of Dallas is an old fashioned yet charming restaurant, “Lucy’s on the Square.”Located in Celina, Texas, this country cooking eatery serves the finest comfort food ranging from chicken fried steak to the strawberry sriracha salad. All the charm is topped off in an atmosphere that makes the locals and out-of-towners feel at home. The décor is vintage Texas-themed memorabilia within 100-year-old brick to transport the guests to an all-out southern cooking experience.
Celina is a small town with a population of 13,000, but that doesn’t deter Lucy’s on the Square from being popular. Due to its mouthwatering menu, Lucy’s will have guests coming back for seconds. Lucy’s serves the classics, such as fried green tomatoes, chopped steak, chicken fried steak, burgers, fried catfish, and a full breakfast and brunch menu for the early birds.

Lucy’s is known for many things, but they are especially known for their world-famous homemade pie. Guests can choose from a variety of flavors on graham cracker or butter flaky crust. Tasters won’t be disappointed with the traditional pecan or coconut cream pie all the way to Mrs. Smith’s apple pie. These pies satisfy.
There is a menu for the healthy eater at Lucy’s as well. Guests can try the Taco salad, served in a tortilla bowl with avocado, tomatoes, cheddar-jack cheese, sour cream, and the choice of savory beef or chicken. The Chef’s salad is for the meat-eating health fanatic who enjoys a salad with bacon, roasted turkey, boiled egg, and diced ham.
Last but not least, Lucy’s has a kid’s menu for children under 10. Kid’s meals includes a choice of chicken tenders, fried catfish, grilled cheese, or a corn dog. Make an order online or dine in at Lucy’s Tuesday-Friday from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
